WTI began in 1985 with Don and Ione Harpenau, who built the company on values that still guide us today—hard work, respect, and showing up for people. What started as a small family business steadily grew, thanks to their dedication and vision.

As WTI expanded, their daughters Tina and Marcy stepped in—not to take over, but to work side by side with Don. Together, they helped lead the company through years of growth, combining experience with fresh energy. Eventually, Tina and Marcy took on leadership continuing the path their parents started, with the same steady hands and sense of purpose.

Today, WTI is still a family company in every sense. Both Tina and Marcy’s children are now deeply involved, helping shape where we’re headed while staying grounded in where we came from.

It’s been decades, but our approach hasn’t changed: we take care of our people, we do what we say we’ll do, and we treat this business like the family it came from.
